ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; SOME SUGGESTIONS. All schemes launched by the central government, I heartily support all these, these have been well conceived and very well explained. ALL THESE SURELY AND CERTAINLY LAY FOUNDATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY IN LONG TERM. BUT WHAT HAS BEEN MISSED, is that public has finished their resources, lost their businesses, have suffered all sorts of shocks and setbacks,THEY MORE OR LESS CAN BE COMPARED TO A PATIENT WHO IS TAKEN TO ICU AS A LAST RESORT TO SAVE HIM/HER FROM DYING, AS SUCH PATIENT IS PUT ON VENTILATOR AND OXIGEN IS PUMPED INTO HIS HEART TO BREATHE. Likewise the public is now sick and is almost at the verge of death end. It therefore needs IMMEDIATE HELP AND ASSISTANCE TO GET BOOSTED AND GET BACK TO WORK IN FULL CONFIDENCE AND TO MEET THE CHANGED SITUATIONS AND MODES OF WORKING. I think following steps would have been taken, which though have been missed by the central government, the state government must take care of these and take steps not only to ameliorate the present conditions but also to boost the economic activity: Followings are my suggestions: 1.supply chains: free movement of supplies 2. businesses: 1.no income tax 2. no GST, 3. no TDS 4. no RETURNS at least for 3 months to enable the businessmen to restart their business and to face all eventual hurdles 3. manufacturing: 1. workers are given travel incentives to be with their families and COMPULSORY return after one month, otherwise subsistence aid is stopped. 2. provided all types of facilities in living, working and given some incentives for their deprivation from their families 3. factory entrepreneurs are given incentives and subsidies to meet the production costs by way of subsidies and to pay incentives to workers. 4. landlords-tenants: ordinance be passed to (1) to pay 50% of rent for the lock-in period as equitable sufferances for both 2. to give graduated rent for 6 months thereafter which seems to be the possible period to get to normal conditions 3. to ensure that tenants do not take advantage of corona to coerce the landlords, in good spirit to meet the corona effect equally and as such COMPULSORILY COME BACK TO PAY THE NORMAL RENT AS PER THEIR LEASE DEEDS.4. if the conditions do get to expected projections, then the state government brings in another ordinance 4. such a step is essential to avoid litigations, evacations, fights of all sorts, which otherwise could affect the restart of business activity. 5. ordinance is brought in essentially in full understanding that both landlords and tenants are in business relationships and both have to meet their respective obligations. 5. subsidise locally produced products to discourage the entrepreneurs to buy imported products until and unless these are not being produced locally and are available as such. 6. corona precautions;must be rigorously imposed and defaulters punished so as to adhere to necessary measures and not to repeat in indulging in breaking these which are in their self-safety and protection. SOME QUESTIONS ARE POSSIBLE AS TO WHEREFROM THE GOVERNMENT WILL BRING IN RESOURCES FOR ALL THESE MEASURES. My view is when the government is announcing measures and aid for long terms, they must make this necessary sacrifice for this temporary period and UNLESS IT IS DONE, NEITHER THE PRESENT NOR THE FUTURE WILL BE ACHIEVABLE IN ANY MEASURE. tks vasdevloond@gmail.com founder marriage guidance new concept- social free cost marriage bureau.ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; SOME SUGGESTIONS.
